How does it work?
As bodies mature, our skin begins to lose its firmness and laxity. This is caused by a slowing in the production of collagen and elastin. Factors such as lifestyle, pollution and genetic predisposition can speed up this process. Similarly, our bodies are prone to storing fat in localised areas of the body, such as around the stomach, chest and thighs. Often, diet and exercise cannot shift these alone.
Our advanced RadioFrequency (RF) machine uses invisible radio wave energy to safely heat the underlying tissues in the skin, to a temperature of between 40 to 45-degrees. This simple process remodels the skin’s tissues and stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin. Loose skin is tightened and rejuvenated. Furthermore, skin that has been damaged by scarring can be repaired.
The energy also improves blood circulation and metabolic activity within the dermis (the thickest layer of skin). Unwanted fat cells are destroyed and excreted through the lymphatic drainage system for a tighter, more toned appearance in troublesome areas. As such, it is a very popular treatment for cellulite.
How long does the treatment take to work?
RadioFrequency treatments begin to work immediately, and you may notice some subtle improvements after the first session. However, it’s a gradual, cumulative process. Results improve with each additional treatment. Skin will also continue to tighten over the following weeks and months as new collagen and elastin is produced.
On average, most patients have a course of between six to eight sessions, with results peaking at around three months. RadioFrequency can also be combined with other treatments for optimal results.
What is the downtime?
There is no downtime. You can resume almost all your daily activities immediately after treatment. Your practitioner will advise you if there is something you must avoid.
Does it hurt?
